• Warranty is 3 years. I didn't purchase any other warranties. That's up to you.

• I purchased the 2 year plan - mostly because I have had 2 other receivers - a Yamaha and an Onkyo (all within the last 60 days) and both had the HDMI board on the receiver go....I have had the Denon for over a month now and it has been flawless....so for me the plan was simply piece of mind.

• The warranty is for one year. An extended warranty would be nice, but I think the quality of this product is good enough to not have one. Just my personal preference.
