I’m not an audiophile. But a friend of mine who designs and implements sound systems all over the world recommended this one over an Onkyo 777. For the price, it works wonders for my game room. It doesn’t do what a $2000 receiver will do, but for what was needed, it goes beyond. The set up was a breeze. I don’t know how people fumble that up. Heos is amazingly simple to set up as well. Hooked it up to my LG 74UH8500, and now my wife insists we watch the entire second season of the crown on it. So much for game night.

I was replacing my AVR2307-ci, which I loved the sound it had. The upgrades with the on screen display and auto setup are nice. Sound is good so far. May need to tweak a few things. 2307 had a warmer sound. Only complaints are the small display and the front of this looks kind of cheap for an $800 device.

I'd consider this a higher mid level range system. Sound is amazing, cost effective, but the interface to use is not what I had hoped for.

Very easy to set up. My husband passed last year and had always set up our audio/video devices. So the baton has passed to me, I was a little scared, to say the least, but I took photos of the existing inputs and wiring, and I was done in 30 minutes. Everything worked perfectly on my Harmony Elite Remote once I added the receiver to the My Harmony app.

    Denon starts the 4K upgrade

It was time to upgrade my system to 4K and I started with the Denon AVR 7.2-Ch. Hi-Res With HEOS 4K Ultra HD HDR Compatible. In the few months I've been using it I found it has been a definite upgrade to the sound quality plus it's AVR ability allows me to change between sources easily. Denon also has apps for iOS and Android to control the AVR.

    My Fourth Denon Receiver

I periodically update my AVR and this is the fourth Denon I've bought over the years. Solid performance, consistent features, great sound. My only beef is that the web interface to control the AVR (including streaming music) and make changes to the settings is no longer supported. THIS IS A PAIN! The prior AVR I had (X2100W) had this interface. There is a settings app (which doesn't include all of the AVR settings) and a HEOS app -- neither of which is supported on a Windows device. There is a third-party HEOS app for Windows that works well, but is missing a couple of features because Denon hides them and the app developer cannot add them to his app. Come on Denon, open up your web interface like before!

    Great Upgrade

This Denon is an upgrade from my 8 year old Pioneer receiver. As technology goes this Denon has everything I need. It pairs with all my other devices and the sound is just what you would expect from a receiver of this quality and much more. I shopped and did a lot of research and the only "Con" I can find is there is not a receiver out there that can seamlessly connect with Wireless Headphones without a Bluetooth transmitter or adapter. I know there are a lot of people out there asking the same question I am about why this can't be done or if there is one I didn't see it, within the price range I wanted to be at. I can live with that. This Denon is a great addition to my Home Theater.

My old Onkyo died after 15 years of service so I headed over to the Magnolia guys with great excitement. The team did a good job explaining the new receiver options to me. I tried really hard to like this Denon but in the end I returned it. I just couldn't get the warm sound I was used to out of it. I would describe the sound as very clean and powerful but to me it felt more like my studio monitor system I use for my keyboards and recording studio. Very neutral and clean. I ended up buying the Yamaha RX-A870 because it gave me more control over the sound elements and I was able to get the warmth I was looking for

Upgraded to this Denon to have a 4K AVR that passed Dolby Vision. Lots of features and a great sound. Audyssey setup is great to configure AVR in your room.

I purchased this receiver on sale and acquired a great all around receiver. Blue tooth, AirPlay, atmos, 4K, HDR, PS4 and plenty of inputs. A great product for anyone starting or upgrading a home entertainment system while not breaking the bank. I’m pushing klipsch reference speakers and they sound great. Mic included to auto calibrate sound until you become familiar with manual settings.

Picked up this receiver to drive my 5.1 system - Sony Core Bookshelf front speakers, and polk audio rears (temporary). I originally had a Pioneer VX302, but it was a lemon so I took it back and picked this up. More than enough power to drive all my speakers in my 11x11 room. The UI is not the smoothest but it does a better job at dialing in your speaker settings than the Pioneer (i.e. setting crossover for individual speakers where the Pioneer didn't allow that). I like the layout of speaker terminals; all terminals are on the horizontal plane, and it makes it easier to plug them in. Nicely labeled. They even include a stand for your calibration mic which is nice, though I use my own stand (USE A STAND WHEN CALIBRATING). .
