• Yes. Connect the optical output from your TV to the AVR. This will allow music to go through your speakers but you will need to mute the tv speaker. If you have a sound bar attached to the tv optical you can use an optical splitter that goes to soundbar and AVR. This works to but you will need to mute the soundbar to hear the music

• You can if the music is in zone 2. I think you will be able to do this just make the speakers in zone 2 and still be able to watch a game.
