“I'm replacing a Sony STR-D615, care only about AM/FM, phono, CD, even tape—not home theater. I like the goodies that allow for Siri, music from iPhone and streaming services. Speakers are ancient Quadraflex (8 ohm). Will this device fit the bill? Others?”

The amp supports phono natively, no pre amp required. The radio is built right in. The amp supports two RCA inputs, i.e. one CD player and one tape player. A pair of 8 ohm speakers will be supported without any setting changes. If the automatic calibration does not sound right to you, don't be afraid to play with the equalizer to get the sound right.

It has inputs for all the equipment you are asking about. The reception on FM radio is extremely good. I am also using ancient speakers (Bose 401) and they work fine. One good thing about BestBuy is they have a good return policy if this doesn’t work for you. I hope this helps in making your decision. All things being said, this item works extremely well for my needs.
