A:Answer Hello and thank you for the question. The AVR-S750H has a few features that will allow ARC to work without CEC. The receiver has TV audio switching on or off(can be set when CEC is on), Power off control on or off(can be set when CEC is on), and ARC can be set on or off. However, using an eARC function-compatible television enables audio playback from the speaker connected to this unit, regardless of “ARC” settings in the menu. Some TV's will have two ARC inputs, one ARC and one eARC. For the most flexibility in control over the settings, use the ARC input. The TV's ARC/eARC will also play a roll in this question as well.
