“I read that this receiver and the Yamaha's have a defective chip and the chip will not be able to be replaced until 2021. Is this true?”

• At this point this is at least partially True, it is not known if this can be patched via firmware.

• Absolutely true. Do a search on theater forums for details. Buyer beware. I can’t believe they are actually selling this knowing it is potentially fatally flawed.
