Hi Chris, Any speakers from the current Klipsch line-up will partner well with the AVR-S960H. If you are keen to prevent component damage, it is best to keep the volume at a civilized level. If you have the need to play at particularly spirited volume levels, it is a good idea to invest in a receiver with pre-outs (such as the AVR-X3800H) and add external power amplification.
