I have a Bose Acoustimass 16 system and a Denon Receiver and it works fine. Please not that as far as I understand it the Bose unit controls all the frequency mixing to the speakers so you may need to contact Bose for help in setting the crossover point in then Denon unit

If you have 3 pairs of speakers in other rooms, you will need a speaker switching box with impedance correction (such as the SS4 by Niles Audio), but it is recommended you don't have the Main Zone and the other rooms in use simultaneously. If you wish to have all the speakers in your home playing simultaneously, I suggest considering the AVR-X4800H with a speaker switching box, as it is better equipped to handle the workload.
