• Using the ARC, the TV will control the receiver. When you turn off/on the tv, the receiver will turn off and on. The stereo volume will also be controlled by the tv remote.

• My receiver does not turn on the TV when I power on the receiver. There may be a way to set up the receiver to do that but there are still people who may just want to listen to music and it would actually be an annoying feature to have your tv turn on if you just wanted to listen to music. The good news is that my tv and I'm assuming most do when connected via Hdmi arc, does turn on my receiver when I power on my tv. I hope this info helps. -Troy
