“Noob here just wondering if this receiver will transmit 4k from ps4 pro / ps5 etc well, everything seems to indicate it will but confused by the pass through only being listed as HDR and not including 4k like others seem to?”

Yes, all of our AVRs today are spec'd for 4K/60 with HDR10 and Dolby Vision pass through. This will work with the PS4 Pro or the PS5. The AVR-S960H / X2700H and up are actually spec'd for HDMI version 2.1, which allows you to pass 4K/120 and 8K video resolutions from the PS5.
