Thank you for your question—a couple of things to consider. First is heat. We recommend a minimum of 6 inches of ventilation space above and 2 inches on either side of your AVR. This will reduce the unit's overheating risk when playing at a high-volume output level. Second, all main speakers must be connected to the receiver using speaker wire. For multi-room audio, Wireless Denon Home Speakers (HEOS) use Wi-Fi. Placing the receiver in a cabinet may weaken the Wi-Fi signal depending on where the wireless router is placed.
