Q: QuestionCan this receiver intitally be set up without a television set

• A:Answer Hello. While some features can be accessed without a TV set - like any AV receiver - the DRA-900H will need a screen attached to utilize it's full potential. If you do not wish to have a TV nearby, I suggest considering the PMA-900HNE. It too is a two channel device, but as it has no AM/FM analog tuner, it qualifies as a stereo integrated amplifier rather than a recevier. The PMA-900HNE does have our HEOS engine built-in, however. This allows the user to access thousands of radio stations from all over the world once you download the free HEOS app. The PMA-900HNE requires no TV connection and is very easy to set-up using just the front panel dials or the remote control. Q: QuestionIf using 4 speakers, can the HEOS Ap allow to adjust volume to 2 speakers at time? Can one set of music be played on one pair and another set of music be played on the the other 2 speakers?

• A:Answer Hello, The Denon DRA-900H is a well-equipped amplifier that allows you to control two zones. You can achieve this in one of two ways: by adding an additional amplifier connected to the Zone Two Pre Out and wiring it to speakers, or by incorporating Denon Home HEOS wireless speakers. Please note that when using Speaker A and Speaker B, both will play the same audio source at the same volume. However, if you use the HEOS app with the Zone Two Pre Out or incorporate HEOS wireless speakers, you will have independent control over the volume and selection of audio sources for each zone. • A:Answer Hello. With a 2 channel component - such as the DRA-900H - ARC all that is required. eARC is only necessary for higher bandwidth signals such as discrete feed multi-channel encoded content, which of course is not supported by a 2 channel receiver.

• A:Answer Hello. Yes the DRA-900H can drive 2 pairs of Klipsch RP600M speakers. Given how sensitive the RP600M speakers are (96dB), it is very likely only 2-6 watts will be required froim the DRA-900H for them to go loud enough to risk doing permanent damage to your hearing.

• A:Answer Hello. Our wireless Home subwoofer can be hardwired to the DRA-900H, but can only be paired wirelessly with our other wireless Home speakers. All subwoofers need to be hard-wired to our AVRs.

Q: QuestionI see the 900H supports only four speakers (and a sub). Can you play all four speakers at the same time to help fill a room?

• A:Answer Hello. With the DRA-900H, four connected speakers can all be producing sound simultaneously. The thing to consider is when driving two pairs of connected speakers, they would need to be 8 or 16 ohm speakers with or without a subwoofer. If you have one pair of speakers connected, 4 ohm speakers can be used (as per the labeling on the rear panel of the DRA-900H). Otherwise, the available speaker ports allow for bi-wiring with one pair of speakers.
