Hello. While some features can be accessed without a TV set - like any AV receiver - the DRA-900H will need a screen attached to utilize it's full potential. If you do not wish to have a TV nearby, I suggest considering the PMA-900HNE. It too is a two channel device, but as it has no AM/FM analog tuner, it qualifies as a stereo integrated amplifier rather than a recevier. The PMA-900HNE does have our HEOS engine built-in, however. This allows the user to access thousands of radio stations from all over the world once you download the free HEOS app. The PMA-900HNE requires no TV connection and is very easy to set-up using just the front panel dials or the remote control.
