“I am currently using a DTV HDR receiver and utilizing the Optical Audio connect to my Denon AVR 1709. On the AVR 1500 The spec sheet says there is no HD Optical Audio output, yet on the pic of the back of the unit here are two Optical input ports. MAy I”

• Mine has at least one optical out...I used it with a soundbar..

• I have my HDTV sending an audio signal through the optical audio input on the AVR1500. It works fine.
