Been using these for the past 4 years without any issue, sounds great and picks up multiple sources to play from, TV / Media player (PC) / mobile BT / game consoles, several friends who saw this in action at home have purchased as well.

Upgraded my 5 yr old Onkyo 7.1 system to be able to passthrough 4k and it came with a bundle with speakers. Has met every expectation. Seamless integration with my 4k TV for sound control as well as switching between components. Full 7.2 set up and it delivers as advertised. Easy set up for optimum tuning with the microphone and location testing to truly balance the room to ensure the best listening experience where ever you are sitting.

I currently have 4 Denon receivers and they all deliver with great sound. I have this one set up in a 5.1 on my outside patio which is open on one side. I have Definitive Technology speakers with a Polk Audio sub and it powers all of my speakers with plenty of volume to spare. This receiver is outside in the Texas heat and has no problems while watching a baseball game or Bluetooth music all day. Set up is easy with the mike and it will even tell you if you have a speaker wire crossed - +.
I have an old Denon receiver in my garage that I BOUGHT IN 2002 and listening to jazz on my old Klips speakers in stereo is like being there. For the money I don’t think Denon can be beat.

Purchase a lesser model and then this one went on sale. Returned the other one and picked this one up. I couldn't be happier. Nothing wrong with the lesser model except this one was $150 more but with new sale it was only $50 more so here we are. I think that all the new receivers are pretty easy to set up just comes down to your personal preference on the name on the front. I have had a couple of Sony's, quite a few Onkyo's and now this is my first Denon. I have no complaints. Plug in all the inputs and speakers, set up the microphone and let it balance everything out. Simple and sounds great.

I had to replace my old Denon after 7 years. This new one is smaller
and lighter. To me it does not run so warm when on. Very nice sound and is the center of our entertainment center.

This receiver replace the Harman Kardon receiver. I bought it because it was recommended by an individual in the Magnolia home theater. The setup was fairly, I have it hooked up to a Samsung Smart TV, Polk Audio speakers, and everything is connected using audioquest forest green HDMI cables. I used the microphone to calibrate my speakers and all speakers are connected with monster wire. Upon turning on the receiver the first thing I noticed was a clearer and more distinct separation of sounds as they transmitted through the surround sound. I have the receiver connected to my X1 cable box, and it is connected to my television using the HDMI ARC connection. This allows me to run the apps on my TV and have the sound come through the apps and play through the Denon receiver. The only issue I encountered was when I first turned on the television after it had been powered off, when the system powered up the video would automatically switch to TV versus cable/satellite. A quick call to Denon solved this issue there was one setting that I needed to change and once changed it is provided a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this receiver as it is cost-effective yet the quality of sound, and the quality of the picture are awesome.

This Denon is an great all around receiver. Has virtually all the specs needed and all the current features required for years to come. Would only need to go to the higher end models for specific setup requirements and more speaker setup from one receiver (7.1.2 or more speaker setups, unless you use separate amps).

I wanted to love this. The price was right and it replace an old pioneer elite receiver. I am glad to have upgraded sound but the power is just not there. HEOS does not work. It causes the receiver to overheat. Sometimes the picture doesn't come up right away because it is figuring out 4k or not. This is not my main receiver but watch it enough to be disappointed. I heard many good things about Denon and the price was right.

This Denon has great sound. Much smoother sounding than my old Sony 900 ES which was a 1200.00 surround receiver from the 80"s. The old Sony had more punch but not the tonal quality. I love the fact that the Denon has HDMI connections making it easier switching between components. I'm an old dude and find ARC to be a very handy new feature to me. The microphone is a great feature and makes calibrating the surround system a piece of cake.

Very happy with the audio system. Setting it up was very easy and following the directions to tune in the different channels was very straight forward. I had to download the manual. It is mobile friendly.
With the same speakers I had before I was able to feel the difference in clarity and power. I used the bluetooth and AirPlay features. I can stream directly from my computer to the device using iTunes, skipping the need of an AppleTV.

The head unit is nice and powerful, and even at low volumes there is no discernible distortion. It sounds great, and after a little bit of playing around is pretty easy to navigate, although i wish it didn't try to automatically connect to bluetooth when one is around, as it will take you out of your current view such as Media Player, or Game. Otherwise, is works and sounds great.

The Denon receiver has very good sound and was super easy to set up. It has built-in Bluetooth and built-in Apple Airplay 2. You can use either to play music from your phone or Ipad. It also comes with a small microphone. You can connect the microphone to the receiver and it will calibrate your speakers for you !

This is a replacement of an old receiver who died. The level of sophistication is astounding in comparison. Once the various avenues are learned, navigation is straigtforward, the sound quality is superb and all other components attached work seamlessly. We are very happy with this purchase

I was in the market for a new receiver. One of the Best Buy sales person suggested into lookin into this receiver. While he demo the unit in the store and pointed out a sale for the unit, I purchased it. The unit itself makes a nice addition to my home theater system.

Made the move from a soundbar (name brand and expensive) to components due to wanting higher quality audio for listening to classical music. Was easy to set up, is easy to use, and has excellent sound quality. Connected are a Blu-Ray DVD/HD Audio player and an LG OLED TV.

This receiver replaced my older Denon. Great sound quality and easy set up. I like the upgrades on this model (Alexa and HEOS compatible ) . I was considering buying this receiver before it was on special so when it was reduced in price it made it an easy decision.

I retired my old Denon and upgraded to this Denon AVR-X1500-H about a month ago. I was a little intimidated to start the setup but after downloading the Denon app. setup was made simple. Detailed step by step instructions took away the worry. I also upgraded our speakers. The 5 Elac speakers with the Denon was a good investment. Our system will now support technology not even being broadcast. Watching DVD's is like being in the middle of the action. I catch myself looking over my shoulder to see what is coming at me. Thanks BEST BUY for all you help!

Good Performance, Horrible App

I'm kind of confused by all the 5-star reviews here... The performance of the receiver is great, better than my previous Yamaha receiver, but the app and controls are awful and hardly ever work. The app just stops working, or doesn't connect to the receiver, and the only way to get it to connect again is to unplug the receiver.
Last night the receiver got hung up streaming music and I couldn't turn it off or change the volume with either the app, the remote control, or pressing the actual buttons on the receiver. Had to unplug it again, which isn't easy for me to do the way my components are installed. For the price I didn't expect this many problems, I've had it for a few months now and the issues are getting more common, not sure what I'm going to do. Also I was hoping for good integration with Alexa, the only thing alexa can do is maybe turn the receiver on, and that's only sometimes.
