A: The receiver and remote operate on IR so yes, but you can adjust that with almost any device by investing in an IR/RF remote

To answer your question no. That would not be possible since the AVR-X1500H does not allow for a wireless speaker connection in a surround format.

A: It has 2 subwoofer ports. They are located on left side seen from rear, between audio in and video in. They are labelled pre out, above, subwoofer under that, then 1 and 2 above the 2 ports.
