Multiple amps let’s you crank the volume with no distortion. Many different ways to connect wirelessly (airplay, Bluetooth or using the HEOS app) make it easy to play music anywhere. I have had some trouble with Bluetooth connectivity, though that might be a positioning thing or just my phone (I’ve only had the receiver for a few weeks so hopefully I can figure that one out). Overall really happy with the purchase, but I had to wait for it to go on deal.

We got this new receiver to replace our outdated one. It has great sound for the price we paid. A friend did help us hook it all up, but the directions really walked you through the set up nicely. If you want that extra sound to your tv and movies without a huge price tag, this is a nice product.

This does everything I need it to do. It is in a small bedroom converted to a TV and mini HT room. I have it set up for 5.1. The automatic sound setup did a good job of adjusting for room acoustics. Sound quality is very good and this has a phono preamp if you like to listen to vinyl records.

I have been a fan of Denon for a long time. The device is solid, and the user interface is easy to use. If you want superior sound quality with multiple channels to access use throughout my home. This device also connects to my Alexa, and is Bluetooth compatible so using my phone is accessible is a 10/10

Great receiver. Works great, love the ability to control it from my phone. It is a little bit time consuming setting up the speakers with the calibration procedure of moving the mic around but other than that it is a great receiver.

Got this along with an in-ceiling 5.1 speaker set. Setup was intuitive and a breeze.
Has 2 zones and i am using only 1. Scope for expanding by couple more speakers to get to 7.1 in future.
Lots of HDMI real estate, excellent output. Works with Alexa and kids love that.

Sound is great. The technology is poor. Does not sync well to other devices. One big reason I purchased a new receiver was so that I could keep all my HDMI devices plugged in, and either use the receiver to amplify or not. Well, it doesn't work that way. If you last had the cable box on, say, then you want to play a DVD, you actually have to turn on the receiver to switch, then turn it off again. Then there is this whole process it goes through when you turn on one device but the receiver turns on, then you have to select the device on the receiver, but then turn it off again... did that make any sense to you? Because guess what...it doesn't make sense to me either, two years later. Denon makes great sounding products, but they clearly should have outsourced the technical side.

This is my first Denon AVR, replacing my old Sony AVR. Set up was super easy and I am impressed by the different audio options it supports - most notably Dolby Atmos. I definitely feel an improved audio performance n my large open living room.

I have had Denon top of the line receivers in the past and while they may have sounded a bit better you cannot beat the ease of use of the 1500.

This is a great home theater receiver. I am so happy I bought it. I am doing 5.1 for now hopefully I will be going to 7.2 if all goes well. Nice clean audio even at high volume. I will look for one for the bedroom.

I bought this receiver as an open box item with an extra 10% discount. I loved the sound but had less than a half inch clearance above the receiver on my shelf so I returned it to Best Buy

This home theater system is exactly what we were looking for. We have a Bose 8 ohm speaker system and it drives it clearly. The instructions, though, are online and not very intuitive.

If you catch this receiver on sale, it's a fantastic deal. It has all the inputs I needed, and the surround sound works well on both optical input and HDMI ARC.
