Microsoft Office Starter 2010 is installed and usable. It will only last for 30 or 60 days before you are required to activate it for an additional charge. Windows 7 does come with Wordpad (rather basic) and no spreadsheet software. You can obtain OpenOffice from the internet for free. It has a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, graphic and database program included. www.openoffice.org
