• Old 3DS (XL) works, but if you have the Amiibo, you need to have the NFC reader in order to use it. The New 3DS XL does not require the NFC reader

• works on the old system! If you want to use the Amiibo, you'll need to get an adapter. However keep in mind, there is no 3D in this game, if it says 2D, don't be dissuaded that you can't buy, it will still work!

• This is the amiibo, in order to use it on the old 3ds, you need to get an amiibo sensing station and have the IR sensor of your 3DS working properly to transfer information.
