  • QuestionDoes it come with a charging port for 3 batteries?

    Asked by Concerned.

    • Answer There are currently 3 Mavic 3 packages available, the one I bought didn't have the extra batteries or charger, just one battery that you charged in the Mavic 3. If you get the Fly-More or Cine packages you get a charger. The charger and batteries I bought separately because I didn't want all the items in the Fly-More kit.

  • QuestionWhat type of camera shutter method does the Mavic 3 use on both cameras? And will this drone work with photogrammetry applications?

    Asked by Riger.

    • Answer Although it does lack an ideal mechanical shutter, it will absolutely work for photogrammetry projects. I can't understand why in the world DJI keeps answering questions with flat out lies. I get a feeling that whatever employee is answering here doesn't have any idea what photogrammetry even is. If photos are taken in a consistent manner, literally any camera can be used for photogrammetry. Shame on them for lying to customers so blatantly.

  • QuestionIs there a locatin GPS system if I loose the drone?

    Asked by 4st.

    • Answer The drone does have a gps system. You also have a flight record that you can trace to the drone. Ensure you have sufficient satellites before you launch. At time the M3 has a latency in acquiring satellites, you can launch with about 8 and hover about 3 feet to reach 11 where you are safe to go. If you go up with less than 5, you can have a fly away. Also learn how to emergency stop your motors and how to not panic when you think it is not responding to your commands. When your homepoint is locked, the drone will return to launch site if connection is lost.

  • Questionwhat is the flight range on this drone

    Asked by exrex0015.

    • Answer I’m sure there are some YouTube videos that focus on this. Your battery will last about 38 minutes. Range will depend on whether there are signal interruptions. If you’re in a city, less far. Remember, in the US, keep your drone in eyesight range to be on the safe (legal) side. All that to say you could technically fly up to 9 miles away in an area with no signal interference.

  • QuestionIs this drone geofenced?

    Asked by Raymond.

    • Answer Dear customer, Thanks for your inquiry. DJI's Geospatial Environment Online (GEO) is a best-in-class geospatial information system providing DJI users with up-to-date guidance on areas where flight may be limited due to safety concerns or regulations. It combines the latest airspace information, a warning and flight-restriction system, a self-authorizing unlocking mechanism for specific locations, and a minimally-invasive accountability system for those decisions. This system is often referred to as “geofencing” and replaces DJI’s first-generation No Fly Zone system implemented in 2013.
