The connection is wireless between the quadcopter and your device. Many people use tablets.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I assume you are flying without the remote with wifi. Your phone is generating that signal regardless of network coverage. With the remote wifi is not an issue at all. Cellular coverage where you are flying will allow for updated area map and fly zones. Not necessary. You can download the fly ones and maps before you go fly.
