Yes, you should remove the battery from the Mavic and place it and your other spare batteries each in a lipo safe battery bag. I put data stickers on each battery and bag identifying the voltage and milliamperes indicating that the batteries are under 100wh each and safe to be carried on the airline and not in checked baggage. I do inform TSA that I have acceptable low wattage lithium batteries in protective battery bags with taped connector tabs in my carry on bag or case. I have not have my batteries denied for airline carry on travel in the USA on 8 flights in the last year.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can. I just took mine to Mexico and there were no issues. Be prepared to have TSA hand search the bag. I needed to explain what it was and that the lighted gey boxes were lithium ion batteries but they were good with them. Remember that the batteries should go in your carry-on (Lithium Ion batteries should NOT be packed in your checked bags - check FAA and TSA regulations).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yep. carry on is how you travel with your drone batteries etc. Do your homework before packing. Invest in lipo bags and be prepared to be searched or questioned a bit. I went to Turks n Caicos recently. I registered my drone and followed all preparation rules to a T. Travel there went well however when I left I was somehow flagged for a full search. The woman who did the search said I would likely be flagged in their system for 5 yrs. Btw I only brought my DJI Spark and took some footage during a boat trip to a neighboring island. Just be prepared to be stopped when traveling internationally
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. At minimum you have to carry on the batteries due to regulations.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yea but take off the battery
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Short answer yes. Some airlines have different rules on whether batteries need to be in checked or carry on luggage. I would confirm this with carrier before packing
