• you need to download DJI Go 4 on your phone, it is in the play store. that gives you control of the drone.

• You would need DJI go 4 for iPhone and DJI GO (don’t know the version for) for Android

• DJI has an app specific to their drones and quads. But an app is not totally necessary with the Mavic Pro.
