A:AnswerNo its not necessary, we just have one in the drone itself which is better quality photos and video. You can put one in both in case you lose the drone, you still have whats saved to the remote.
A:AnswerCell phone service is not required the drone can fly with out wi-fi/service I recommend getting a sd card for your controller and offline download the map of where you are going to have more information.
