• It can be used with or without DJI app. You will have to control the gimbal manually and will loose some app features like auto tracking and othe app specific features.

• Yes! You first set it up with the DJI app with how smooth you want the stick movement but then once that is done you can use Filmicpro, The moment app, the regular camera app, whatever you like! I personally use the moment app with an anamorphic lens on my phone and it works amazing

• Absolutely, you can use any other app YouTube, FilmicPro, there are a plethora of apps you can use or just the video app on your phone. You need to Use the DJI GO app to calibrate the gimbal and set up the dial setting that you would like. I have used the DJI GO app for filming vlogs and it does a great job. The more you use the gimbal the more comfortable you will be with it.
