• Yes. You can use any camera app manually, but you'll need to use the DJI app to connect to the gimbal and get it started. Once it is in the mode you prefer, simply touch your phone as normal to select the native app.

• Depends a little. As others said you may just switch program (and you should). The gimbal controls won't work however (start stop video, zoom) and so on. So in other words I dont think generic video event messages are used by the bluetooth interface. The switch of mode and reset will work however as they affect the gimbal itself and not the camera app. A remapping of events from the controls shouldnt be impossible. Anyone know if an app exits for this?
