Took me some time but figured it out. After you take off the little black filter thingy.. shine a flashlight down there and you'll see four little pieces of tape around that area. I just sliced them with some scissors.. then tried again pushing the filter down.. and it worked, it snaps into place. You do have to push pretty darn hard though. They should explain this more with a little more detail in the instructions. Good luck
