I’ve had this installed with an upgraded anti-theft. It works well from the app for locking/unlocking, and starting or tracking the vehicle from your phone as long as you maintain the subscription.

As long as you have cell service you can lock, unlock, and start your car from anywhere it even alerts you of the activity of your vehicle. So if you wife started the car it will let you know because you can share the app with other people. You can even monitor where you car is and put some kid safety stuff to alert you there driving habits.
