• Having had this problem with other players the color coding of the cables is the problem. Manufacturers have changed yellow input on tv's to green and on some tv's there is two sets of white and red be sure to use the ones that say out on them on dvd player and in on tv and yellow go's to green. This fixed the problem with black and white issue.
