Please try again later.only if the device being charged doesn't have protection built in. does your normal plug in the wall and cable stop sending power to your device? one that you used for years that came with your iphone or ipad? the answer is NO. the device is the one that has the protection or it doesn't. think about it. most new devices have the protection, ie. at full charge they stop charging. this plug is no diff than plugging your phone into a cable and 5w box in the wall socket.
