• The Dynex receptacles put out 2.4 amps total. The other receptacles you are referencing can do 3.6 amps I believe so definitely more output that would be better for tablets big phones etc. I don't know anything about Best Buy pricing and I am just an electrician and decided to answer some of the people's questions as a courtesy.

• solely the amps for the USB,.the 2.4 amps add even says sedate pace, the 3.6 is simply faster to charge USB device.

• From the Description "...Each USB port can handle up to 2.4 amps ...". It'll charge your tablet and phones with big battery faster. Most phone charger only output from .7 to 1 volt. iPad, Samsung tablet chargers output 2.1v because their batteries are bigger. This one should be able to handle both.

• As others have said, this set of outlets output USB at 2.4A, while the one compared has a 3.6A output. I would just like to add that whether this will make a difference depends on the device you are charging. My experience is that some phones (the newer ones), and all tablets, will charge faster,.
