- Answer You can connect the VCR to the TV with a screw on coax cord, and the DVD with a Red White Yellow RCA cord.

QuestionDo I need to purchase any extra cords or connections?I am purchasing two of these online for Christmas gifts and I want to make sure I have everything to connect them to the Direct TV system. I don't want to have to run out the day after Christmas to get extra wires.

- Answer yes, you will need some sort of cord to transfer your signal to your tv, preferably an HDMI cord. The tv does not come with any cords.

- Answer Without the remote model, we are unable to provide any codes. The remote manufacturer will be the one who determines the codes. If they do not have codes for Dynex, check for Insignia. The codes tend to work for both models

Questionsound quality - no bass at allHi, The 24" Dynex is a very nice tv, but mine has NO bass at all in the sound. Setting the bass and treble to full on and full off, respectively, makes little/no difference. The tv I replaced had a noticeably different (better, more bass) sound quality and it was an inexpensive tv also. This one sounds like an old transistor radio. Just trying to figure out if this is a problem or just the way it is for this inexpensive tv. Thanks walt

- Answer I connected a PC speaker to the one I purchased and that improved the sound. I also feel the built in speaker is very poor.
