• You can connect the VCR to the TV with a screw on coax cord, and the DVD with a Red White Yellow RCA cord.

• yes, with a splitter you can connect both .... or ... get the dvd/vcr combo, hook it up with an hdmi cord and "bingo!" less mess and an easy hook up.
