Without knowing the exact specs of your DVD recorder (in a laptop, what model; in a desktop, what model, etc.), I can't say definitely. However, in general, it should work. I generally use these as single-use (mastered), but you can opt to use them "flash-drive" style with re-write capabilities. I recommend the former.
