I happen to be one of those people who has to burn DVDs a lot for various reasons. I have used multiple brands like Sony, HP, Verbatium, Ridata etc. While these Dynex discs have burned fine (I just burn them at 4.9X because I;m not in a hurry) they scratch like Crazy. I've never seen a brand so susceptible to scratching.
Even doing something like just putting a label on them while on top of flat plastic and holding them fairly still will scratch them! I've labeled a ton of DVDs, I've never had this scratching issue like this with any other brands. I'm going to have to reburn a few of my discs just because the discs scratched up so bad just labeling them. begs the question, how long will these hold up if they scratch doing next to nothing to them?
I'll use these discs, but after that, I don't think I'll return to dynex.
Even the HP discs I had before held up better to scratching. So, they have worked ok but I wouldn't put anything on them you want to hang around any length of time without being damaged.
I've never seen anything like this before.
