• It depends on the model of MacBook pro. Does your model have an HDMI input? If so, then yes, this is an HDMI cable. For example, my MacBook pro is very new and came with only four ports-all USB-C. so, this MacBook pro would need a USB-C Cable and not an HDMI cable.
