• I use this cable with all 3 Apple boxes that I have with no issues. One is a direct connect to a Samsung TV, and the other two connect to Onkyo receivers.

• Yes. I am using them on my Apple TV (2nd gen) and my Samsung Smart tv and it is working as expected.

• This cable should work. As far as I know rated for the latest HDMI specification is backward compatible with earlier specifications. Using this cable on older products should be fine.
