• Yes, you get a 4K picture, and it’s capable of HDR content as well. I think it’s HDCP 2.2 compliant, but not 100% certain

• Not sure. I use it to switch between a Wii and a vcr and don't think either are 4K. but it works great even with the VCR. Yes VCR just have too many tapes still like watching.
