I have had my unit for several months connected to a HP Pavilion computer with Window 8.1. I have not had a single disconnect. I would suggest that you delete the drivers and reinstall. If you still have the issue, try connecting to another computer to see if it still disconnects. If so, perhaps defective unit. If not, you might have an issue with your computer. It would at least tell you which end to begin looking.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Never ran into this problem. I would blame the adapter for this. I have transferred a lot of data through a couple ports at the same time and still didn't see this. Possibly faulty.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Do you have the power cord for the hub plugged in as well? I could see that happening if you're not supplying power to the hub.
