Don't panic, you have 30 days to work this out before returning it... I would check the device and cables your are using first only because that is the easiest to change and verify the TV is operating correctly. A battery operated device like an iPod with a headphone jack and a stereo rca jacks to connect to the TV would be best (see pic). This will allow you to verify it's the TV acting weird and not your home electric (no ground), or the cable box or device your are using.
