“I just bought a used HP LP 1965 monitor for my new Dell Inspiron desktop computer. The monitor does not have a connector cable with it- I mean the cord that is blue on each end. What type of cord do I need to buy? What is name of the cable I need. The monitor has a much wider female slot than the computer has. My old monitor had the same size as the computer . Please help!”

You'd have to find out what cables are compatible with your computer. Usually the "blue to blue" cable is VGA If it looks like a smaller input, its probably VGA if it looks wide and "white or gold" its probably DVI if it looks like you can plug in your HD Blueray Player its probably HDMI
