If your converter box has an HDMI output and you have an HDMI TV, you only need the HDMI cable to connect the two. An HDMI interface carries all the signals, audio and video.

I just recently got directv and the installer brought everything I needed to get the tvs in the house set up. I got an hd receiver so he used an hdmi cable as I had a slot available, but again your experience could differ. If you call the company they can normally let you know exactly what you need to receive their service.
