“There are two hdmi opening on the back of my tv I want to connect my blurray in to one and the tv connection in the other,to keep not having to disconnect one and put the tv back in”

connect both to the TV then go you your menu on TV to select "input device" or "source" it should work fine from there.

Your 'input' button on your TV remote should allow you to change from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 depending on where you feed is coming from Hope this helps!
