- Answer If you have a lot of power-hungry USB devices, like a Webcam, External Hard-drives, microcontrollers, wifi dongles, etc, the current draw will overload the 500mA available through your typical USB port. Especially if you are using a netbook.

QuestionCan you connect a keyboard and mouse to a hub?Will they work?

- Answer YES, a keyboard and mouse will work with this Dynex Hub, as long as neither needs additional power. I have 2 keyboards now connected to my machine, along with mouse, 3 printers and scanner -- all work flawlessly. Make sure you're dealing with USB 2.0 ports, though. If your machine supports USB 3.0, you may want to upgrade to that USB Hub (though this wasn't necessary for me).

QuestionCharging through USBWhen i connect my Dynex hub to a wall socket and the blue lights glows i cannot charge anything ! i purchased this product to charge multiple usb outlets at once only to find that it will not charge unless connected to a computer....please tell me this isnt true

- Answer As far as I know (and I'm hardly a techie) -- the HUB is not designed to charge a device; it only relays the device's signal to the computer. You're asking it to provide a function it wasn't designed for, unfortunately.
