Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Alkaline batteries (unused) generally maintain over 95% of their charge for at least 2 years from the date of manufacture. Most batteries have a shelf life or "best used by" date clearly marked on the body of the battery. The temperature at which you store the battery will also have an effect on the shelf life-the hotter the temperature the shorter the shelf life. The Dynex batteries that came with the storage box that I bought has a 2018 "expiration" date, or 3 years.
