• I would recommend using an adhesive mount found in this kit that you can attach to your helmet rather than the strap.

• I personally like to use a stick on curved or helmet GoPro mount rather than a head strap although I have used the straps.

• I would think not. It's held with a rubber band and is made of cardboard. Getting that wet could be bad.
