• No, because the conversion is going in the wrong direction. This device takes a digital/optical signal and converts it to analog (red and white connectors.) You need an analog (red and white coming from the tv) to a digital converter (to input to your sound bar.) BUT ... Your sound bar should also have analog (red and white) input connectors that would take a feed directly from your television set.

• No, this device outputs using the red/white RCA analog connection. Essentially this is the opposite of what you need.
