You can in theory change the tilt whenever you want. You do this by reaching in behind the TV to loosen two Philips head screws which lock the tilt mechanism in place. I will tell you that reaching these screws is quite difficult on a larger TV (mine is 65"). You need long skinny arms and/or a very long Philips head screw driver. In reality, I think the approach with this mount is to set it and forget it.
