Hello Happy, This is Miella from Dyson. As we test the the Dyson Airwrap™ styler on multiple hair types and lengths, it truly depends on your needs as to which model would be a better fit. The Volume+Shape is ideal for adding volume to find, flat hair. It includes the 1.2 inch barrels for curls and waves, a smoothing brush for a blow dry finish and a volumizing brush for body/shape. The manual includes basic maintenance and instructions, but we have a support hub on Dyson.com that provides tips for use of the specific attachments. Hope this helps! Miella Dyson Customer Support
