“I have the dyson ball animal 2 grey and purple, purchased it in November of 2019. It makes the worst noise when pulling back and leaves a line in my carpet. No obstructions. I need new before I purchase a different brand!☹️ Talked to service no help!!!!!”

I don't know about the horrible noise, but the line could just be because the brush is actually two brushes...go over it a little differently and the line from the brushes will disappear. Good luck on the noise. I'd call Dyson.
